Due to physical constraints, this Rockridge home is a case-study in maximum effect achieved with minimal means. Remedied by a modest 53 sf addition, an awkward, cramped kitchen layout becomes dramatically more spacious and usable. Meanwhile, the main bathroom has been expanded by using a custom bay window with integral sliding mirror at the lavatory.

For a more contemporary effect, white walls contrast with black granite, concrete, glass tile, maple flooring/trim/doors, and brushed metal hardware. In addition, recessed and glass sconce lighting help to complete this modern transformation.
